Nina Witikka is a wine trade professional with a passion for wine and all that comes with it. She has worked in wine sales, import, marketing, and product development of wine since 1995, cooperating with the monopoly, ontrade market, and the travel trade. She is also Wine Director at Wineworld Finland Oy, an independent company within the wine business unit of Anora Group. She started up the operations in 2016. Her previous jobs have been both with independent importers and in large international companies.
She believes that it is all about balance: know the market – share the knowledge – cooperate with your clients (monopoly and on trade) and help them to sell – Find the wines to their liking and make them like the wines you like in a very competed and fragmented small market. It is not just about winning the listing; that is when the work starts. At the end of the day, it’s the success of the sale that counts. But the trail to sales success in wine is marked with many glasses of good wines and nice meals in good company.
