Lamberto Frescobaldi

Lamberto Frescobaldi, Florentine, represents the family’s 30th generation of winemakers. Since May 3, 2022, he has been president of Unione italiana Vini, the industry’s leading association. He has a degree in viticulture from the University of Davis, California, and he leads a company – Marchesi Frescobaldi – of about 1,500 hectares of vineyards divided among the various estates in Tuscany and Friuli. He is an Academician of the Georgofili. The new President of Unione Italiana Vini has also developed a collaboration with the Penal Institute of Gorgona Island (Livorno) to produce wines together with prisoner-farmers from the penal colony.
