Helga Louise Schroeder MS

Helga Louise Schroeder MS was born in August 1974. After graduating from school she opted for an apprenticeship as a hotel expert rather than going to university; employments in France, GB, Switzerland and Germany followed suit. At the beginning of 2000s she successfully achieved the Sommelier Diploma (CCI) and from this moment onwards it was literally all about wine. In 2019 she became the first female Master Sommelier (Court of Master Sommeliers, London) of German speaking countries. 

Over 20 years experience in the wine and drinks business where she has developed a diversified portfolio of knowledge in hospitality, trade and communication. She amplified her expertise in various branches of the drinks business:

  • Shop manager of a wine stores
  • Head Sommelier and Restaurant Manager in Michelin Star rewarded restaurants,
  • Prestige account manager for international clients
  • Acquisition of new trade partners in the Fine Wines segment
  • Consultant role in purchasing and in listing in the Fine Wines segment
  • Educator and personal consultant
  • Coach and Trainer of Master Classes for staff and customers alike
  • International speaker and host on wine tastings/ webinars
  • Contributions and writer for content magazines
  • Regular judge at competitions and tastings
