Giorgia has been working in the Digital and ICT world since the beginning of her career. After an experience in Accenture, she was involved in market research and analysis in Digital Innovation at the Observatories of the Politecnico di Milano, where she specialized first in digital marketing and innovative payments, then in digital transformation for small and medium-sized enterprises, holding the role of Director of the Observatory dedicated to this topic. At TeamSystem, she is Marketing Manager for the Enterprise and HR offerings, and is responsible for the development and execution of their marketing strategy.

Italian wine companies and the digital world: analysis of a ‘complex’ relationship

While the word “digital” is on everyone’s lips, nowadays there are economic sectors that are still somewhat reluctant to approach this world of innovation. One of these is the wine sector, spurred on to improve by the pandemic but still lagging behind in many respects.

Which business areas are most digitized? What has changed in digitization before and after Covid? Are the digital tools used advanced or still “primitive”? Answering these questions and compare the wine business state of the art to other economic sectors will help wine entrepreneurs and managers to improve their investments in business technologies.

The session will present a survey of hundreds of Italian wine companies carried out by Wine Meridian, an international wine journal, in collaboration with TeamSystem, a leading provider of management software.
